A Search Angel Helps Close a Gap
By Steve, Friday, May 02, 2008
Sheri writes to us today to say that after posting a query on CousinConnect, a volunteer search angel helped her find some information about her birth family... I posted my birth family search listing on a Friday afternoon. All I had were that there were a number of siblings, a probable last name, and a date. Within 24 hours, I had a list of all the possible siblings, the birth mother and father listed on the birth certificate, and a lot of work to do. By the following Thursday night, we had our answer. After ten years without a single bite, Betsi, my search angel, got all the right wheels in motion. Thanks to Betsi, and thanks to cousinconnect.com. I have finally filled the hole in my history. Sheri
Find the Past Through CousinConnect
By Steve, Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Eileen writes to us today to say that she obtained just enough information from a query she posted on CousinConnect, to open up more doors in her family history research... From: Eileen Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 9:27 PM To: info@cousinconnect.com Subject: Finding the past
With just a little information, in a query to cousinconnect.com, I have found out enough info to go further back into my ancestry. It was a delight to find my father listed as 5 years old along with his grandmother and grandfather and 16 year old aunt.in the cences. My uncle, I now know is deceased, was also listed in this information, only knew for a year of my life, and glad I that I had met brought back some great memories. This is definitely the beginning of an jouney I am sure I will enjoy. I will be acquiring as much info as I can to document for my children and generations to come after them. Thankyou for making things so much easier with your web site. Sincerely Eileen
A Quick Response on CousinConnect
By Steve, Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Jack writes to us today to say that he found some quick success using CousinConnect... Yesterday I posted to Cousinconnect. The SAME day I received my post found it's way to my first cousin in Texas. We have never met, but we connected today because of CousinConnect! Her and her brother and sisters were the last of the "missing" first cousins.
I also received a response from a helpful genealogical researcher who offered help and provided some accurate initial findings.
Thank you for your website and the service it provides Similar good luck to all those looking to connect with their cousins! Yokoke

A Very Quick Response
By Steve, Sunday, April 27, 2008
Cindy writes to us today to say that it only took four hours for someone to reply to her query with all the information she was looking for... I recently submitted a posting looking for my cousins, four hours later I received an email with all the info I was looking for. I haven't talked to them in over forty years, so it was a nice surprise for all of us.

Brenda writes to us today to say that she was able to connect with her long lost sister thanks to CousinConnect... She found my posting on cousin connection 4/4/08 we had her records opened 4/21/08 and it was confirmed she was my sister. Her DOB is 12/14/08, I orginally put 12/15/64 but my aunt said she thought it was 12/18/64. Not sure when we will meet in person but we have exchanged photos and talk on the phone regularly. Thanks to databases like yours people are finding one another.
thank you and God bless

Birth Family Success Story
By Steve, Thursday, April 24, 2008
Kairen found success in finding her birth mother and sister on CousinConnect, but unfortunately it didn't turn into a happy ending... I'd like to thank mkataumom, md and especially Sandy (frostymaple) for their aid in my search for my birth mother. I did find her, unfortunately she does not wish to have contact with me. I have taken my info down per my BM's husbands instructions. I'm hoping some day she'll change her mind. In the meantime I have initiated contact with a sister that lives only minutes away from me. Hopefully this will end with a happier result. We shall see. At least the search is over and the healing can begin. Thank you so much for your site, it has helped me find closure even if it wasn't what I was expecting.
Sincerely, Kairen
