I posted my birth family search listing on a Friday afternoon. All I had were that there were a number of siblings, a probable last name, and a date. Within 24 hours, I had a list of all the possible siblings, the birth mother and father listed on the birth certificate, and a lot of work to do. By the following Thursday night, we had our answer. After ten years without a single bite, Betsi, my search angel, got all the right wheels in motion. Thanks to Betsi, and thanks to cousinconnect.com. I have finally filled the hole in my history.

With just a little information, in a query to cousinconnect.com, I have found out enough info to go further back into my ancestry. It was a delight to find my father listed as 5 years old along with his grandmother and grandfather and 16 year old aunt.in the cences.
My uncle, I now know is deceased, was also listed in this information, only knew for a year of my life, and glad I that I had met brought back some great memories.
This is definitely the beginning of an jouney I am sure I will enjoy. I will be acquiring as much info as I can to document for my children and generations to come after them.

I'd like to thank mkataumom, md and especially Sandy (frostymaple) for their aid in my search for my birth mother. I did find her, unfortunately she does not wish to have contact with me. I have taken my info down per my BM's husbands instructions. I'm hoping some day she'll change her mind. In the meantime I have initiated contact with a sister that lives only minutes away from me. Hopefully this will end with a happier result. We shall see. At least the search is over and the healing can begin. Thank you so much for your site, it has helped me find closure even if it wasn't what I was expecting.

I just wanted you to know that I posted a query in July 2007 attempting to locate my son whom I had to place for adoption in 1982. After about a week, I received an email from one of your search angels with information concerning my son. To make a long story short, the information was correct! My son, Joshua, and I were reunited on August 17, 2007! I cannot begin to describe the ultimate unspeakable joy that I felt. We had our first face-to-face reunion on November 24, 2007 and he did not come alone...he brought his wife and daughter! Imagine my complete speechlessness! Recently, Joshua spent a weekend with me (we live only 3 hours apart!) and it was an overwhelming blessing to us.

I thank God for this website and the search angel whom God used to locate my son. Joshua is my only child and I am grateful that we are finally together again.

I just wanted to send in my success story and thank you for your help.

After three years of being listed on your site, I got an email from out of the blue from a woman who tought she was my birth cousin.

This spurred us to request information from my adoptin file in Massachusetts.

After a wait of about 2 months I received a letter, my parents were not named but the names of all my birth siblings were listed. Wow!!!! What a feeling. Two of the names matched those my birth cousin had sent me. (I did not know the rest yet)

On January 19th I flew to NY with my husband to meet 4 sisters, my brother and my birth father, not to mention countless nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. I grew up as an only child so this was quite a happenning.

I also enrolled in the Oneida Indian Nation while I was there and I am currently enjoying learning about my indian heritage.

I am attaching some pictures from the airport and from the first night I was there.

I came accross you web site in Feb, 2008. Sitting on your site was a posting about me. It was my sister that I had been looking for. I had hit walls, gotten discouraged, but had not given up. I rescued a shoe box full of photos and other documents from an outbuilding. It was not mine and did not know the children. I doubted I could find the family, but saved it. A Saturday ten years later I ran across the shoebox. I started going through it and found that there were names. I search the net, found cousinsconnect and left a message on the family name site. Two hours later I got a message that a woman knew the children, how to find them and they were her daughters. Apparently in the 80s she had stored things with a neighbor. When she returned for her things, she was told that they were missing. That was the connection. The next door neighbor was my husband's ex-wife. I have talked to the girls and am sending the box to them. Thanks for your site.

Hello there! I just wanted to thank cousinconect.com for helping me in my long quest to find my birthmother. Ever since I was little I had know that I was adopted and I accepted it. There was still always that thought in the back of my mind what my Mother and Father were really like, where they lived and if I had any other siblings walking around somewhere. After I turned 18, which is the required age in NY to file paperwork to release identifying information with certain kinds of adoptions, I knew I wouldn't be an easy task to find them. I filed with the state and was notified that if they hadn't also filed the paperwork I would receive the in formation that I already had. All other websites wanted the typical $19.99 or something for a one month subscribtion and things like that. I made a post on a blogging site at school between my classes and then kept searching other websites. I gave up and then through a twist of fate typed basic info into a search engine and the first hit that came up on the page was from cousin connect and sure enough it was a posting my birthmother had made not too many days before. Learning my last name and my mothers maiden name helped me in my search amd two days later after searching the phone book and making phone calls to complete strangers who thought I was absolutely crazy, I finally recieved a call. It was from my biological grandmother whos brother i had actually called in my search. Not to many hours later I was talking to my Mother and Father and planning my first visit out to Salt Lake City where they both now live. I was reunited with my mother and met my little brother London for the first time. I just wanted to thank cousin connect so much for helping me with my search and making my dream a realization. Also for anyone else who may be searching for lost relatives, don't give up hope, things have a way of falling into your lap when you least expect them too. Thank You so much!
