We are seeking information about a group/burial society or congregation called Chevra Bais Josef Anshe Rachwalewsky. All we know is that they have a burial area at Baron Hirsch Cemetery on Staten Island, NY. The cemetery told us that the "last known address of the congregation" was 16 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11241. When we wrote to that address, the letter was returned with "unknown" stamped on it. Does the name of the group indicate anything about where those buried in the plots might have come from? We were under the impression that it was a "burial society", but the cemetery referred to it as a congregation. Any information would be very helpful. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
