re Unknown DAVY Emigrated to South Africa. I am searching for information on Unknown DAVY married Annie UNKNOWN (who later married Thomas Townsend). They emigrated to South Africa, probably 1866-1876. Birth dates would be abt 1846-1856. Their son, my grandfather, Albert Edward DAVY born 1876 in Uitenhage, Cape Province, South Africa, a carpenter, lived at 3 Jackson Street, West Bank, East London and worked for SA Raiilways & Harbours. He married Lettie FERREIRA. They had 6 children. At age 40 he died in the First World War, German East Africa. Family has some connection to Humphry DAVY line, Cornwall and Irish connections too I believe. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
