I am looking for any information for the surname of Pruitt or Davis in Jasper county Mississippi. My g-g-g grandfather's name was a Mat Pruitt and he was married to a woman named Eliza Pruitt. In the 1880 census, it shows that he had at least 8 children. His son was a Phil Pruitt eventually married and moved to Newton County Mississippi. On the Davis side, the names are Henry and Maragaret Davis, who might have been Choctaw Indians. They had many children whose names are Martha, Alice, Armelia, and many more that I can't rememeber at this time.
