 Does anyone have information on George Monroe (or Munroe) Chase, 1806-1855), from Calais, Maine. He married Harriet Norwood and practiced law in Maine. Did he hold any elective or appointed offices in Maine? He was appointed as the consul to the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii) where he died and his body was brought back to Calais where he is buried.
