I'm looking for any information regarding my ggg grandparent, Mathew Power. Mathew has proven very elusive and haven't been able to come up with anything about him. Mathew married Elizabeth Fisher in the Parish of Northam, North Devon, England in October 28, 1807. The marriage certificate says that Mathew was a mariner. They had the following 4 children: Mary Power b. February 22, 1808 Mary Power b. September 30, 1810 Eliza Power b. September 30, 1810 Thomas Power b. June 23, 1819 The March 1851 census, Plymouth Charles Martyr, (1878 310 33) at 6 North St, shows Elizabeth Fisher as a widow at age 64. Also with her is Justina Power, age 24 (her youngest daughter perhaps?) This means that Mathew died between 1819 (when son Thomas was born or 1827 if Justine is their youngest daughter) and 1851.
