HANKINS : LONGINO | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
Query Text: |
My ggrandfather was William J. Hankins. Census records for Natchitoches, Louisiana, indicate that he was living there in 1850 and 1860. He was married to Sarah Longino in 1846 in Natchitoches. We know his children. Family tradition tells us that he died during the Civil War and is buried at Greenwood, LA. The census indicates that he was born in Tennessee, but I have not been able to make any connections at all. The 1860 census lists a Nancy Hankins living with his family; therefore, we think he may have been married before. Can anyone help? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
