JOHN FRANKLIN CORNETT B: April 4, 1894 in Mountain City, Tennessee. His parents: Andrew Jackson Cornett and Elizabeth Hammonds. John was married to Minnie McCloud, they had three children and then John abandoned them in 1920. We heard that he was in Logan,WV during the 1930-1940's working as a mine foreman for MacBeth Mines and also co-owner of a beer garden called Lollipop. We also heard that he moved to Ohio in the 1950's but no one knows where. Also, he may have changed his name to John Johnson and his friends would have called him "Johns". John loved cars, drinking, and women. He was short, dark haired with a mustache, and very neat in appearance. I am looking only for his gravesite so his oldest daughter, Dixie Lawson, may visit him before she too, passes on. Dixie is 92 yrs old so time is a major issue right now.
