Surname(s):

FLOOD : FLOYD : FLUTT

Query Text:

For Floyd families. My great grandfather's name is Robert Floyd. He died March 20, 1900 in Fausse Point, Louisiana. On his death certificate it indicates that his parents were from Ind. (Indiana?) We know nothing about him. Does anyone have a Robert Floyd on their family tree that is missing who could have reloctated to Louisiana. We do know he was an overseer on a plantation, living with woman named Rosette Johnson and had five children. His name has also been spelled as Flutt. We are not sure if this is a misspelling, but most likely is as the people generally spoke French. Thanks.
