I have a mystery with Francis BENTLEY-Zachariah BENN being the same person. My Zach BENN was born in Colchester Ontario in 1850. Zach served in the Civil War Co.F-15 and 16 Kansas Cavalry as a bugler. He enlisted as Zachariah T. BENN, Residence: Leavenworth, Kansas. The pension was applied for by Francis BENTLEY's widow Rebecca E. (Howard) BENTLEY in Aug. 1907 in Arkansas, listing Francis BENTLEY known as Zachariah BENN. Most of this mystery is now solved. Francis and Rebecca BENTLEY had 8 children. Mary Rosita born abt. 1877. She married M.J. ZOTTMANN in Carroll Co. ARK. George born abt. 1879-Maud abt. 1881 She married Albert BRYANT. Ida born abt. 1882. William Walter abt. 1884. Adalene abt. 1886. Thomas abt. 1892 and Laura 1895 and married unknown CHALMERS. The BENTLEY family plot in the IOOF cemetery in Eurkea Springs, ARK. holds Francis, Rebecca-George-Ida and Walter. I'm hoping to find living lost cousins!
