Talofa (Hello), I am looking for any descendant's of Jack O'Brien who is of Irish descent, lived in Australia and worked on a whaling ship that went to the island of Funafuti Tuvalu (Ellice Islands) in 1854. On the island he married Salai and that is where he remained until his death in 1899. I am looking for in particular descendants in Australia and Ireland. Jack is also another name for John O'Brien, in diaries by David Edgeworth he gave his name as John Brine, unsure if he gave a false name or whether this was his real name.
