Query Text: |
I am researching the family of Bowman M. CRITTENDEN/CRITTENDON (born 17 June 1889 in Kennett, Dunklin County, MO), registered for the WWI draft May 1917 in Warren, Arkansas. Stated on his registration card that he worked as a sawmill operator at a sawmill owned by A. D. Crittenden (probably Albert Crittenden, his father) and had a wife and one child under the age of 12 years. Bowman does not appear in any 1910, 1920 or 1930 census indexes in Arkansas but lived in Craighead County, Arkansas in 1900 with his father Albert, stepmother Mattie, sister Sallie (b. July 1887, MO), and brother Emerson (b. OCt 1893, TN). Albert was the son of Andrew J. and Nancy Crittenden born April 1862 in Missouri. This family is connected to Joel Crittenden and other Crittendens located in NE Arkansas and SE Missouri late 1800's, early 1900's. This line came to the area from Henry County, TN and Graves County, Kentucky. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
