I am searching for New Jersey marriage records for 3 Conover men that lived in or near Newark, Essex County, New Jersey or New York City, New York in 1834, 1835 and 1837. They were Ralph R./Rafe Conover who married Ellen/ Elnor Snedeker in about 1834, Samuel S. Conover who married Sarah "Frances" Weeks ( of New York) in Newark, New Jersey in 1835 and William Conover who married Anna "Catherine" Warth a Swiss immigrant in 1837. I am also interested in finding the Conover parents and siblings. Ralph R. and William moved west in 1839. Samuel joined them in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana in about 1857 but returned to Rahway, Union County, New Jersey after 1880 where he died. William and Ralph R. Conover and their wives are buried together in Terre Haute, Indiana. A sister of Anna Catherine Warth , Elizabeth Warth Baumgartner lived in Woodbridge and Rahway when these marriages took place. Her husband was Halarious "Lawrence" /Larry Baumgartner, a blacksmith. The Baumgartners and Samuel S. Conover and wife are buried in the Rahway Cemetery. Thank you. <rreedy@mics.net>
