Looking for info about family of James (1828-1896) and Alice (LIDGATE) Baxter (1825-1881) and their children, Eliza Jane b 1858 (Married John ROWBOTHAM 1881), James Charles b1860 (Married Margaret GANNON 1885), Mary Alice b 1862, Ellen Annette (1866-1914) and Alice Lidgate b 1868, from Derbyshire. The whole family appeared on the 1881 England census. Alice(Mother) died in Wirksworth, Derbyshire late 1881 - James and the three youngest daughters emigrated, possibly to New Zealand, in the 1880's. Would like to know when they left England etc. James was a schoolteacher and died in New Zealand in 1896. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
