She married Stanislaw Borkowski in the city of Suwalki in 1905. She moved to the US in 1910. Scholastyka and Stanislaw lived in Excelisor, PA, Northumberland County. Scholastyka had a sister or sister-in-law, Marya Makarewicz, living in New York in 1908. Scholastica also used the name Stella Burcusky.
