I am looking for other female descendants of my maternal great-great grandmother, Katie Davis, born 1857 in Fannin, Georgia, lived in Polk County, Tennessee a good part of her life; died 1940 in Tennessee. She married Allison Woodbill Benton Boone LaFayette Dilliard. She was reportedly half Cherokee. I have had mitochondrial DNA testing (National Geographic Genographic project at www.genographic.com; see also www.familytreedna.com) and would like to compare my results with another female descendant of Katie to see if they are the same because there may have been an adoption in my line. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
