Trying to connect with family that remained in Germany. Great Great Grandfather was Johann Christoph Hummel b Oct 22, 1792 died Aug 17, 1852 small Farmer and spinner of wool in Buchhof in Baden-Wurttemberg (near Bibersfeld) he married Elizabeta Weiland b April 24, 1801 died May 26, 1858 they had six sons Georg Christoph born March 23, 1827 Georg Michael born Nov 29, 1829 Georg michael Christoph born Feb 12, 1832 Georg Jacob born Sept 27, 1834 Johann Gorrlieb born Jan 5, 1837 Johann Gottlieb Michael Born January 11, 1840 this is my Great Grandfather that came to America in 1866 he left from Bremem on the SS Herman and arrived in New York June 4th 1866 He settled in Michigan in Lapeer Co in a small farming community of Burnside about 1872. He sponsered three of one of his brother (George's) children to the USA in early 1882, those that came were Rosena Hummel she was 20 years of age, Louisa Hummel age 18 and little Geroge C. age 12 (b Oct 30, 1870 died Nov 28, 1957 in Michigan). Their mother's name was Catherine. They had other sister's that stayed in Germany, Marie, Frederick, Marie m August Siegel lived in Bad Krozingen, Kreuzstabe 1, still in 1951.
