I have hit a major brick wall in this line and was hoping someone could offer SOMETHING to help me find direction. I am searching for any information I can get on John William McGowen, who married Bertha Stanford and had the children Ethel Viola, Bill, Osie, Eula, Verna, and Raymond (there may be one or two that I am forgetting). They lived in Texas (at least when the children were born) and Bertha died prior to 1920 when the children were still young. That, in fact, is the issue because the children were split up and sent to different homes when Will (John Wm) couldn't handle them all. I know Will died in Fort Worth and that he and Bertha are both buried in Itasca, TX (in Hill County). Any information on these people would be helpful. I do not even have any idea where they were born are where they grew up, based on the information I have gathered thus far, it is like they fell out of the sky to give birth to their children...which seems to be less than likely. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
