I am looking for descendants of Frederick Jensen (Fred), son of Hans Jensen and Maren Sorensen. He was born in Copenhagen and came to this country in the late 1880's or early 1890's. He started out in Story City, Iowa, where he began his own family. He had 5 or more children, one of whom was named Herbert. Frederick was my Great-grandfather Peder Jensen's younger brother. Peder was the first of the children to come to America. Peder was a pharmacist and an M.D. Evidently all of the boys in the family (there were nine children born to Hans and Maren: Dagmar, Peder, Hans, Frederick, Waldemar (Walter), Rebekka, Rosalia, and Eigel) trained as pharmacists, veterinarians, or medical doctors. I'm just learning about the history of Peder's siblings, because I didn't know most of them existed until last summer. Apparently Frederick moved to California at some point. And I assume his family also moved. Only Dagmar spent the rest of her life in Story City, Iowa. She married a man whose last name was Wiggins. Hans Jensen the father came to this country (Story City, Iowa) in 1892 or so, after his wife, Maren, had died of TB in Denmark. Hans1 is buried in the Story City, Iowa cemetery. Frederick's middle name was Immanuel. <a href="http://cousinconnect.com/p/a/0/u/109337/">View my genealogy queries</a> | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
