My grandmother's name is Lizzie Cheng and she was of Chinese/Hawaiian decent. Her mother was Hawaiian. Lizzie later went to China, married and died there, in the 1960s. My father, George Tang Chue, who kept in contact with the cousins in Honlulu, died several years ago and we cannot find names and address of our relatives. I have met our Hawaiian cousins once in Honlulu, and I recall that my cousin's husband who lived in Honolulu - David Chan, regularly attended the Angelican Church in that city. At one time one of his son was thinking of being a Missionary and he and his brother attended the school/college there with a Hawaiian name. I understand to be student there one has to prove Hawaiian lineage. The other cousins names remembered are/were Uncle Charlie and Aunty Sarah. I would like to trace the Hawaiian lineage of my family as well as trying to locate the Chans several years ago. I am now retired and would like to do this tracing for the younger generation. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
