My maternal grandfather was Henry P. Almon Abbott, born in Halifax in 1882. I'm interested in any information about his forebears. I know only that he had a brother named Mather Abbott who was the headmaster of Lawrenceville Academy in NJ in the 1920's, and that there was a family connection to Cotton Mather in Boston in the late 1600's. Perhaps one branch settled in the Maritimes, another in Massachusetts? All's fish that comes to my net, as they say. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
