Seeking James HORN, Jr. b. @ 1820 in Highland or Adams County, OH. In 1840, he m. Mary Ann KNISLEY (Nisely) b. @ 1819 in Highland or Adams County, OH. They lived for more than 20 years near Locust Grove, Franklin Twp in Adams County, OH. They moved to Brushcreek Twp of Highland County, OH and lived there until some time after 1881. They had following children who stayed in Ohio: Alpheus b 1842, James E. b. 1850, George Franklin b. 1854. These three sons died and are buried in Ohio. These children appear to have left Ohio as their parents: Elizabeth C. b. 1844, Hester Ann b. 1845 m. Thomas H.B.WEST then left Ohio, Julia Ann b. 1848, and David Harrison b. 1858. Would love to know what happened to all of the folks mentioned above. Mary Ann Knisley HORN was either a d of a David KNISLEY of Highland County, OH or his brother, Samuel KNISLEY of Adams County, OH. Both of these Knisley brothers left Ohio @ 1837 and settled in Fountain County, IN. Samuel probably died there sometime before 1860, but David moved to Taylor County, IA in 1851. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
