ALEXANDER KENNEDY, WHO WERE HIS PARENTS: Alexander Kennedy b: abt 1760 m: abt 1788 to Mary Elizabeth Cathey. They both were dead bef 1807 presumed killed in Sumner Co., TN. Their children (Jane, Patsy/Martha, Fannie, Elizabeth, & George Alxander were raised by maternal grandparents in Sumner Co. TN (John P. & Mary 'Erwin' Cathey). It is believed that he had received land grants from NC for service in Rev. War & was trying to settle in the land when he & wife were killed. Their first dtr. Jane/Jeannie Kennedy married James L. Erwin, Sr. Other dtrs. married into Stanfield, Miller, & Isom families. Son married into Cathey family. Jan
