Taney County Missouri- Searching for my great-grand parents family. James Blake,b . 1873 in Ireland?,d. 1950 in Taney County, MO. and Kate Walsh, b. 1874 in England?, d. 1962 in Taney County, MO. Both buried in Snapp Cemetery w/ daughter Rose V. Blake b. 1917 and d. 1947 of throat cancer. This is my grandmother. She has two sisters, Ethel and Dorothy Blake, it is unknown whether these sisters are still alive. I need help from the Walsh family living in California as well, Kate's cousins. Rose married Andrew "Jack" Jackson Sharp and had four girls and two boys. Jack is buried in Snapp Cemetery along with his mother, Trella Belle (Gard) (dau. of Sam Gard and Lucinda B., all of South Bend, Indiana). After the death of Jack's father, Trella remarried Sam Wheeler and is now buried in Snapp under that name, along with her parents. There are also Wheeler cousins that resulted from this second marriage that I would like to know of. Baxter Springs, Kansas- I know that this town is full of Sharps. Jack Sharp's father was Charles Andrew Sharp, identical twin brother to Daniel Edward Sharp b. 11/27/1883, from Baxter Springs. I made it up to meet my great-grandpa's nephew (my second cousin) George Daniel Sharp a few years back. No one knew any more than I did of Daniel & Charles' father, George Sharp, b. August 15, 1847 in Indiana (according to 1870 & 1880 census). He served in the Union army, 3 months, Company F, 116th Indiana Infantry, in & out Pvt. and Company F, 4th Indiana Light Artillery, in & out Pvt. He He's buried along with his wife Camilla Emma Hefley (who I have found tons of info on) of Montgomery County, Illinois, sons Daniel and Charles and others at Baxter Springs, Kansas. If anyone knows any more of George or if any of my living cousins would like to contact me, please help. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
