I am researching the family relationship between the Irvines of Bonshaw and Robert de Bruce. I have heard that they were kinsmen. I believe that I read somewhere Robert de Bruce descended from a daughter of David Erevine, Earl of Huntingdom, who was a brother of William "The Lion" King of Scotland. As I am a neophyte at this, I'd appreciate input from those who have verifiable knowledge.
