I am trying to trace a person called "Mears" who bought some important biographical material relating to the artist Robert Seymour at Sotheby's in London in 1919. (Seymour was the first illustrator of Charles Dickens's novel "The Pickwick Papers".) The material was sold in a deedbox, and consisted of a large unpublished manuscript "The Life of Robert Seymour" by R D Morewood, plus a great deal of additional material, including letters, etchings and notebooks. I am currently writing a book about Seymour, and am most anxious to trace this material.
