FORD: Looking for father, brothers or uncles of Benjamin Ford, who was born in 1818 in Ohio and married Rachel Dickey in Indiana, had a number of children and then moved west to Red Rock, Iowa, where Rachel died. Having a bunch of young children, he married a widow, Mary (Barr) Chapman and promptly set off with his eldest son, Franklin (b. 1839) to fight in the civil war. Benjamin was killed a few months after Mary gave birth to Benjamin F. Ford, and the rest I know, but . . . But where did Benjamin of Ohio come from and who were his parents: where did they come from? Any information would be very welcome. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
