John Welch, married to Bridget Hennessey, lived in Delaware Co. Iowa, in 1855. Their first born son, Edward, (1855) was my Grandfather. Trying to find origin in Ireland, of John and Bridget. Family lore has it that the their name started out as "Walsh".
