Mary Spaulding, widow of John, married Robert Dickey in 1837 or 1838 in either Waldo or Penobscot County, ME. They were listed on the 1850 Census in the town of Belmont. He was a farmer. The family was in Richland Co., WI in 1855 after son Lucius was born that same year. Mary's maiden name was Paunt or Payne. Her 1st husband died in New Brunswick.
