I believe the Alverete:Gomez:Lucero surnames are those in my family history. My great-grandfather was Jose and his wife Maria Alderete and my grandfather was Francisco Lucero who married my grandmother, Juanita Benevides (her 2nd marriage) and they had 3 children--my dad Martin Lucero, and two sisters, Felicita and Otilia. They lived in Lincoln. Martin was born in 1902 in Lincoln and went to early school there. I have not been able to find much about Francisco's family except parent's names. I don't know the siblings names or where he was buried. I know Francisco was born around 1861 or so. If you think this might be the same family as mine, please contact me. I am also trying to figure out if Jose, Maria and son Francisco are the same family that Lake Lucero near White Sands Missile Range was named for. There were two other sons who were sherrifs in Dona Ana county back in 1898---Jose and Felipe. Don't know if they tie in with the same Lucero's from Lincoln, which is where my grandfather, Francisco and my father Martin were from. Any information you might have will be appreciated.
