Franz and Thekla (Dawat) Hirschman were my 2nd great-grandparents. Franz was born Feb. 25, 1818 in Reichenberg, Austria. He died Dec. 11, 1896 in Cedar Co., Neb. his wife Thekla Dawat who he married in 1848 in Austria was born May 19, 1829 in Austria. She died Jan. 6, 1900 in Cedar Co., Neb.
