My ancestor, Martin Kraus, b. 1840 was said to be from Bavaria. Married Elisabeth Engel b. 1840 also Bavaria. Left Germany when? Lived in Pittsburgh, PA and had 8 children.. Roman Catholic. Would like to know where they were from and when they arrived in the U.S. Elizabeth's mother was Margaret Schnepp or Schneff, her father was Charles Engel.
