Hello Fellow Genealogist. I am searching for my paternal surname of BEGGS. I don't have a lot before my GGrandfather Joseph BEGGS shows up in Oceana Co., Michigan. I'll list what I know, and believe me any help is greatly wanted, needed, and will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance. GGGrandfather: William Beggs, b.? in Scotland ? d.? in ?. GGGrandmother: ? b. ? in "Eng Canada" d. ? in ? GGrandfather: Joseph Beggs b. abt. 14MAR1862 (not verified)in "Eng Canada". GGrandmother: Clara(h)GREEN b. 21JAN1883 in Troy Twp., Newaygo Co., Michigan. They were wed on 31AUG1904 in Colfax Twp., Oceana Co., Walkerville, Michigan. They lived in Colfax for the remainder of Joseph's life; he died on 3NOV1911 at the age of 49yrs 7mths & 20d. (This is how I computed his birthdate). They had the following children together: (all were born in Colfax Twp., Michigan): My GRAMPS: Francis "Frank" Leon Beggs b. 2NOV1904. As you can see GGrandma Clara was pregnant for Gramps when they wed! Gramps died: 18MAY1994, in Hart, Oceana, Michigan. GUncle: Archibald "Archie" Mclane Beggs b. 25DEC1906. d. 1NOV1993 in Mears, Oceana, Michigan. Thelma Marie Beggs b. 1909 d. 1999 in Niles, Berrien, Michigan. Madeline "Midge" Lee Beggs b. 1JAN1911 d. June 1993 in Frankfort, Benzie, Michigan. I have information on all of Gramps'family; some on Uncle Archie's; I have a death certificate for Aunt Midge, and nothing but the name of Aunt Thelma's husband. I will gladly share whatever I have.
