Can anyone help me find a link to my ggg grandad? On death and marriage certificates he is listed as Archibald Lawless, Coastguard Officer. Married to Maria ? c1820 ? children: Mary Jane c1847, Christopher William c1850, Michael James c1854, Archibald Peter c1855 Arcibald Snr was obviously still alive when Archibald Jnr was conceived but on the earliest bit of evidence I can find, the Welsh census 1871 has Maria as a widow. Therefore I can only assume he died between 1855 and late 1870. It would also appear that Mary Jane had 3 of her 6 kids in Ireland, the last of the 3 Irish being born in 1869; so again working on assumption it looks like they moved to Wales en-masse between 1869 and early 1871. I have managed to get a trace on all the families of Mary, Christopher and particulary Michael (my gg grandad)but I can't find anything definate for Ireland other than they are listed in census as being born in Wicklow. I would be really grateful for any info. Julie
