Elijah Terry age 22 [census says 32] was in Red River Co. TX in 1850 married to Mary Ann Welch and living next door to William Welch and three houses away from Samuel Terry age 66. Elijah Terry was born about 1828 in Tn [census]and died 2 Nov 1892 in Franklin Co. TX [will]. There is a record of Elijah & Mary Ann's marriage in 1849 in the Red River Co. TX courthouse. Mary Ann Welch was in her father's will in Red River Co. TX in 1854 [William Welch]. Samuel Terry is a good posibility for the father of Elijah Terry. By 1870 Elijah was in Titus Co. TX and by 1880 in Franklin Co. TX which was cut out of Titus in 1875. Seeking documentation for Samuel as father of Elijah. Also seeking location of Samuel before coming to TX. Census says he was born in NC. Seeking birth location of Elijah in TN. Also seeking death date for Mary Ann Terry. She was supposedly born in TN.
