BOWEN, Richard born British Isles approx. 1832. married Maria WHITLEY, at the tempory church Lyttelton 23rd May 1854, lived Kaiapoi island Canterbury. Richard died Christchurch 30th April 1883 age 52, children Grace, Richard, Jessie, John,& William -twins born 1861, Margaret,Amy, Elizabeth, Albert, Mary, Minnie,Harold, and my grandfather Charles Arthur Bowen born Kaiapoi 5th December 1877, died Botany N.S.W. Australia 1948 Richard George Bowen born 1857, married Hannah Davis 28th Dec. 1887, died 14th July 1904 Castlecliff, buried Wanganui Cemetery, 3 children female born approx 1889, & 1nother 1892, and a male born 1897, give or take a year.Since my grandfather Charles went to Sydney in approx 1912, there has been no contact with the Bowen family, Charles married Mary Helena Stewart at Wanganui in 1900. William Whitley married Eliza Preece in 1883 and a 2nd marriage to Mary Eliza Treloar, not sure where cud. be Christchurch. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
