Seeking descendants/cousins/info of Amie Beaudoin of Granby, Quebec, early 1900's. He had a farm and a total of 22 children by three wives. My late father-in-law, Alcide Beaudoin, was one of the eldest children, born 1916; his mother (Sarah?) died around 1921. During the winters the children were sent to an orphanage as the farm couldn't feed them, and returned to the farm to work in spring. I would like to obtain any info available on the orphanage in or near Granby. Alcide went to live with an aunt and uncle in Barre, Vermont around 1925, was a distinguished soldier and historian in WWII, and became an accounting executive and avid golfer in Rhode Island. Amie's third wife was Alida, and they also lived out their later years in Vermont. Any and all info welcome! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
