I am looking for information the lineage of Amos Aldrich, born 1829 in Clarksburg, Berkshire, MA who moved to Woodford, Bennington, VT in 1849. He was apparently a man of substance in Woodford and is mentioned more than once in Lewis Cass Aldrich's History of Bennington County, Vt. In 1820 there were 4 Aldrich families in Clarksburg. Heads of Households were Daniel, Daniel, jr., Jacob and Zenos. I'm reasonably sure Daniel is my grgrgrandfather and Daniel jr. is his son by his first wife Mary Fairfield. As far as I can determine, neither of them had a son Amos. I should mention that Clarksburg is adjacent to N. Adams, MA which in those days was part of Adams, also known as East Hoosuc.
