DOB 1-2-56 of Adoptee Birth Mother Age 23 Race White Nationality, Decent - Greek Physical Description 5'6" tall, pretty girl, black hair and dark eyes, fair completion, good even features Health - No significant history of family health problems, except death of her father from tuberculosis (he was an alcoholic). Her mother and siblings were living and in good health. Education, Occupation - 8th Grade, experience as a cashier, clerical work in credit department, waitress Birth Mother's Parents - Birth mother's father was born in Greece, grade school education in Greece, and irregular, unskilled trades after coming to this country. Her mother was also born in Greece and educated their. She was a seamstress and made lace to support the family. Birth Mother's Siblings - Birth mother had two brothers, both had a high school education, but birth mother had lost track of them and their trades. Family Situation and Reason for Making Adoption Plan Birth mother's parents were divorced when she was three years old and she had much conflict over divided loyalties. Birth mother married young but divorced this husband, who was not the father of this child. Birth mother felt "she had nothing to give this child. She seems to have real warmth and sensitivity to children and their needs, but her income was not good, and socially she was quite a lonely person."
