I am searching for anyone who has data on Lucy Lucia Griswold family. She was born 6 Jul 1726 Lyme, CT. Died 16 December 1795 Norwich, CT. Lucy married Elijah Backus and they had eight children one of whom was Matthew Backus. If there is any possibility that Matthew had an illegitimate child by a Griswold cousin I believe he could have been the father of my great great grandfather Matthew G. Backus, born in CT in 1791.
