Looking for my Grandfather. Name: WILHELM PRIEBE Birthdate: OCTOBER 29,1905 Birthplace: Zarubka,Poland Dogtag number: -61- 36/81/1 D.V. Wilhelm was drafted into Kompanie Volkssturm Bataillon on January 17,1945 from Warteland. He was in Frankfurt/Oder when the 1rst belorussian front seized that area, and taken to Russia on "auf bau". His children from his first marriage to Ottilie nee-Becker are still searching for him. We are in Canada since 1949 and always wondered what happened to him. We think he was released from Russian Prison and may have re-married and had more children. If anyone knows or has heard of anything from Wilhelm Priebe, please contact us immediately as two of his older children are becoming ill in their age of 73, and 71.
