Seeking information on the family of Denison/ Dennison Herrick. He was born ca 1779 in MA to Ebenezer and Esther (Braman) Herrick. In 1800 census for Middletown, Rutland Co., VT he is listed as 16-26, together with a female 45 and over. I believe he is also the D. Herrick in the 1810 census for Oneida Co., NY [town not listed], with two males under 10, one male 26-45 [Denison], one female under 10, and one female 26-45 [Lucy (Sweet)]. In 1820 he is listed in Catharine, Tioga Co., NY, with one male under 10, one male 19-26, one male 26-45 [Denison], one female 10-16, and one female 26-45 [Lucy]. In 1830 his listing is in Catlin, Tioga Co., and has one male 15-20, one male 50-60 [Denison], one female 20-30, and one female 50-60 [Lucy]. In 1840 he is listed in Prattsburgh, Steuben Co., as D. Herrick with one male under 5, one male 60-70 [Denison], one male 90-100 [Jonathan Sweet, Lucy's father], one female 20-30, one female 60-70 [Lucy]. I believe the male under 5 is their grandson, Denison, and the female 20-30 is their daughter-in-law, Delilah (Bagley), and that their son Frank Denison Herrick has died. I also have found Denison Herrick and Lucy in the 1850 census in Gorham, Ontario Co., NY; Lucy died in 1852 in Gorham. In 1860 D. Herrick is still in Gorham, age 81. In 1870 he is in Prattsburgh, Steuben Co., NY, age 95, living with his daughter, Esther, age 62, and son-in-law, John Ringrose, age 74.
