Hi all, this is about my g-mother's aunt Albertina and her family. Albertina Mats'daughter Nupula (18.Jan.1875) married Otto Erland Knuus (13.Nov.1876). Otto immigrated in June-1899 to US, immigration records show Boston, Ma. Albertina followed in 1908 with their 2 daughters Hilma 11 and Selma 8. She's mentioned in documents later as A. Matson. It was very popular to immigrate, she had only 2 siblings staying in Isojoki, Finland, others immigrated to USA (Alfred Matson/MN (study ongoing), Conrad Siltanen/Butte MT, Leander Siltanen/Fort Bragg CA, Hilda Siltoa Henry/Butte MT) and Sweden (Johan Matson Nupula). Update: I have later found out that he had a brother coming to US earlier, changing their family name first from Knuus to Wilson. They had more children, Carl (about 1912-13), Lillian (about 1916) and Dorothy (about 1918), based on cencus records. Update: In later census is shown Dorothy being a granddaughter, and Helen (about 1922) a granddaughter too but not shown were they Hilma or Selma's daughters ? From some familytrees in web I've found Lillian marrying John Paul O'HANDLEY (having daughters Barbara, Christine and Lois) and her daughter Lois marrying Charles Nelson PECKHAM. They had children (Karen and James). I haven't got confirmation if these people have got my inquiries and/or whether they are at all interested in knowing their roots coming from Finland. Do you have any links to any of these family members ? Update: Lois A Peckham died in late-May 1981, last residence in Holden (Worcester/MA), was buried in beg-June in Worcester County Memorial Park, Garden of Honor section.
