I am looking for information pertaining to the Gorman family, of O'Gorman extraction, from County Clare, Ireland. Specifically, I am trying to find information on the Gormans that emmirated to the United States, circa 1880s. I am Daniel Patrick Gorman, son of Edward James Gorman, Jr (born Boston, Ma. 1946), son of Edward James Gorman (born Boston, Ma. 1913), son of John Gorman (birthdate unknown). I believe John Gorman was born in the US, as my father says he had heard his father tell the story that his grandfather came over in the 1880s. It is believed the John Gorman was the son of an O'Gorman and an O'Leary. John's wife was named Anna, last name unknown, as she passed away circa 1915-1916 in the US, and was never known to Edward James Gorman, Sr. (her son). Any help with the connection would be much appreciated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
