Looking for my birth mother, Carmen G. Chavez who was living in La Grande, Oregon, possibly at a convent, until she gave birth. The rumor is she was living in Idaho, possibly Boise, and came across state lines. She could've been a teacher, she was 30 as it states on my original birth certificate, and she wanted me raised Catholic as she was a former nun. My adopted mom has said she looked very young for 30. This was arranged thru the local Catholic church, an atty and the doctor involved at Grande Ronde Hospital. No agency was involved that I know of. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
