My name is Doug McCoy. I am 37 years old. My mother was Georgia Rae Melton McCoy. Her parents were Verna Womack and Paul Melton. Due to the circumstances of my parents divorce when I was young, I know nothing about my Melton ancestors. Paul and Verna Melton (she is Mama Sue to everyone) lived in Chatham Louisiana, I think and then moved to West Texas. Any iota of information would be appreciated. I was informed recently by an aunt in Midland that she and my mother do have a half brother in Fresno, California by the name of Joel Melton. I'm just not ready to try and contact him directly, I suppose. Bye now. Time to break out the snowblower.
