My g-grandfather, John/George Daniel Reeder came to America in about 1840. The surname was Americanized to Reeder or Reader on arrival to the United States. He was born Dec. 18, 1824 in Berlin, Kingdom of Prussia. His brother, John Phillip Reeder was born Mar. 15, 1830 in Talfunke,Kingdom of Prussia. Would like to know the German spelling of their surname, where to find their birth records, and where the town of Talfunke was located.
