Looking for the parents of my dead end Lackey siblings. Parents thought to be a Samuel Lackey and wife Elizabeth who "went to Tennessee late 1790's." Took land in Muscle Shoals area around Elk Creek. Siblings include William b 1794 (married to Nancy Spear), Adam Allen b 1804,(married to Lydia Campbell) Reuben (married to Elizabeth), Moses W., Rebecca (married to Eli Sullivan) and Samuel. Could be from the Guilford Co, NC group of Lackeys (William and Rebecca)or his brother John. There was a Samuel who was married to an Elizabeth who was in Guilford Co, NC, attending Buffalo Methodist Church there. He is son of William and Rebecca (whose sisters married Burneys) He died in 1794 and his son William listed as an orphan was appointed to John Hannah..there was a Samuel Lackey and Adam who showed up at Alamance Church in Guilford Co early 1800's. Who are they related to? John Lackey and wife Hannah (William's brother) had a son named Samuel but his wife was Dorcus Alexander. Have the name of their kids. The key may be a Reuben who my dead end family names a son every generation.. can't find a Reuben before Reuben and Elizabeth in Lincoln Co, TN late 1700's..he is a brother to my William,Adam Allen and Moses W. These Lackeys married Spears, Campbell, Reynolds and Boozers. They settled in Lincoln Tennessee and Madison, AL then Northern Alabama (Dekalb,Jackson before the civil war) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
