Query Text:

Peter Shannon entered the US in mid 1840s and removed to Wisconsin where he married Mary Cox from Roscommon. He died in 1867, beaten to death in a bar room brawl. Woudl like to know if anyone knows where he came from--was it County Cork or Kerry, as legend in the family holds? He had a brother Patrick, and five children, all of whom reached adulthood and had families of their own. His wife survived him by almost fifty years.
